My everyday drugstore face routine

Hi guys, ive been really loving my drugstore face makeup this autumn/winter and ive been using this combonation everyday to achieve a simple flawless look.

Benefit 'porefessional' primer £18.50

The first product i apply is the benefit 'porefessional' primer in order to prepare my skin and help give a smoother base for my foundation, althought this primer is a bit more expensive, a little goes along way and its totally worth the money, i have tried alot of primers and this one is my favourite by far, this is great for oily skin as it mattifys your face and keeps your makeup on all day, its also scented with oranges which can only be a good thing.
Rimmel wake me up foundation £8

The next product i apply is rimmels 'wake me up' foundation in the shade true ivory, i usually use one pump of this and buff it into my skin with a real techniques brush (review coming soon) although this foundation gives a dewey finish, i feel, although it works best for dry skin, it still works for people with oily skin like myself. This foundation gives a flawless finish and stays put all day, the colour range is amazing especially for pale people like myself and once again this products smells amazing, there seems to be a pattern occuring?

My next step is too use my collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer, i apply this using my fingers to my under eye circles, blemishes and redness as i think it works great for all 3. If you have internet access you must of heard of this product as it is raved about alot! and for good reason, this concealer is high coverage, long lasting and £4.19!

Then i set my makeup with Rimmel londons 'stay matte' peach glow powder, once again i apply this with a real techniques brush, this powder just makes sure that my makeup will defiantely stay put all day and gives my skin a matte finish, which i prefer in winter.

Lastly to finish off my skin, i contour my cheeks (again using a real techniques brush) i know estee lauder isnt a drugstore brand but im a big bronzer girl and im yet to find a drugstore bronzer that i like as much as this one, this bronzer is very warm toned without being orange, which compliments my skin tone perfectly, i do this to slim down my face and give me a warmer complexion.

What does your everyday face routine consist of? are there any drugstore bronzers worth a try?

November wish list

Hi guys! This is just some of the things that i have been lusting after in the month of November.

The winter season is party season and with christmas fast approaching it would be rude not to buy a pair of glamourous false lashes and eyelures new katy perry range are perfect. My personal favourites are the cool kitty lashes as they would give enough drama for a christmas party look.

Katy perry 'cool kitty' £5.99

The weather in england in the last few weeks has been appalling, giving the perfect excuse to stock up on big cosy jumpers and as always H&M are ahead of the game, i adore these malted scoop neck jumpers, they'd look great with a collared blouse or even just leggings and boots!

As you can probably tell i cant stay of the H&M website this month and i have spotted another top that i have to add to my collection, this stunning white lace peplum. I think this would look amazing with black skinny jeans to give more of a casual feel, and at £14.99 its a bargain!

Lastly this month i have been obsessed with sparkles and glitter as im already in chrsimas mode, and i have noticed that models own have brought out a chunky glitter nail polish range, the colours are stunningly beautiful and would look amazing over coloured nails or just on there own, they'd also be great for creating accent nails, these are a must have for the party season and soon i will own all 5.

October favourites

Hi Guys! octobers nearly over, and its almost halloween so i thought id share some of my favourites this month.

My favourite makeup item this month definately has to be the maybelline colour tattoo in pink gold, i absolutely love the maybelline colour tattoos so when i saw they had a new shade i had to run out and get it. This creme eyshadow adds a beautiful rose gold shimmer to your eyelids, works great as a primer and doesnt crease at all.

maybelline colour tattoo 'pink gold' £4.99

My first fashion favourite of this month is my tartan scarf from h&m, its so soft and warm and it looks amazing with leather, a definate staple for the autumn season.

tartan scarf H&M - £8
Another fashion favourite are christmas leggings! i dont care that its only october, im already in the festive spirit and ive been living in these leggings all month, again there super soft and warm and look so cute with a oversized jumper, Primark stock an entire range of designs.

My autumn wardobe staples?

Hi everyone, as we are getting further into the autumn season, there a certain pieces in my wardrobe that i cannot live without and i thought id share them with you!

Firstly this season i have constantly reaching for my beanies, i'd forgotten how much i loved them, i have them in every colour and design as they go with any outfit to give it a cosy autumnal feel, they also save me from doing my hair yey! my favourite this month has been the one above from peacocks, i think it was £6?

peacocks- £6
Next i have been hauling this beauty around with me since the beggining of september, a cosy tweed satchel £35 from henry holland, if you read my blogs reguarly you'll know that i love anything henry holland, it really is an amazing and affordable line that is always bang on trend! and theyve defiantely done it again this season with their range of bags, this one is perfect, just the right size and looks great with a big warm coat!

Henry holland - £35

Now, im not normally a big fan of primark because i think the stuff can be quite cheap looking and everyone seems to be wearing the same thing however i am truly shocked at the quality of the super soft super skinny jeans! i am not a jean wearer as they make me feel restricted and im also quite short and find it hard to find a pair that fit, But these are honestly the best jeans ive ever owned in my life and they are £7! Even better they come in every colour you can imagine and are incredibly comfy, ive heard people compare them to the Topshop 'Leigh' jeans and i can understand why! im so impressed, primark are defiantely on there game with these jeans and i own about 8 pairs of them now!

Primark- £7
With my new found love for jeans, ive found that ive started bulk buying comfy tees such as the one above, i think there a simple and stylish way to create a cosy autumn outfit and i just love them! this one is from Topshop and was £18, i also love the colour!

Topshop- £18
Lastly this month i have been living in oversized jumpers, theyre just so comfy and look great with leggings and a blouse underneath, once again im impressed with primark in this area and i got this gorgeous fairisile print jumper for £12, its so soft and again great quality, well done primark!
Primark- £12

Holy grail hair products?

Its friday bloggers! i was really struggling for blog post ideas today and i realised ive never done a post about hair, so i thought id give you an insight to some of my holy grail hair products!

Ive always had an interest in hair, ive lost count of the amount of times ive Coloured and bleached it, yet my hair it still perfectly healthy. For this i thank aussies 'take the heat' heat defence spray.
I spray this a few times into my hair when damp and thats it! there isnt alot to say really. Its around £4 and smells absolutely a.m.a.z.i.n.g i honestly cant live without it and i must be on my 40th bottle of the stuff!
Aussie 'take the heat' heat defence

Sadly i suffer with very oily hair and i find myself washing it every single day!, i'd tried every dry shampoo under the sun but i hated the way they left my hair feeling! until i found this! Lush's 'no drought' dry shampoo is only £3.50, smells gorgeous, lasts forever and leaves my hair feeling just washed! i cant praise this product enough, it may sound dramatic but lush has genuinally changed my life.
Lush 'no drought' dry shampoo

My last holy grail hair product is the babyliss pro 235 straigntners, there so easy to use, they heat up so quickly and there pink! the curved barrel also enables you to create the perfect beachy waves in your hair in minutes! these cost around £40-£50 but theyre totally worth the money, you'll never use another styling tool again.

My perfect autumn lip combonation

Hey everyone, as we are travelling further and further into the autumn season, new makeup trends are making a big impact in the world of beauty and after trying a few products ive found an affordable autumn lip that looks beautiful and lasts all day.

When applying this lip combonation i keep my eye makeup pretty simple, (thin winged eyeliner and mascara) this is to stop the face from looking too overpowering therefore you can apply this as an everyday look!
Rimmel black tulip lip liner
Firstly i outline and contour my lips with the rimmel lasting finish lip liner in the colour 'black tulip' this makes my lips look fuller and more perfect, your lipstick also tends to stay on alot longer and at £2.99 this product is a bargain!

Next i apply Rimmels kate moss matt lipstick in the shade '107' which has just been released in the new autumn range. I adore this lipstick, its perfect for autumn and is alot easier to pull off than a true red, it also tastes amazing (not that i eat lipstick) and at £5.49 you cant go wrong.
kate moss matt lipstick shade: 107

Lastly to lock in my lipstick and ensure that it lasts all day i apply a thin layer of lipcote, this clear gloss acts like a barrier so that your lipstick stays even after a meal! even better it doesnt unmattify lipsticks and you cant even tell your wearing it! the only downside to this product is that it stings a tiny bit when first applied, but for £3 i think i can forgive.

Lipcote: lip coat

All these products are stocked in boots/superdrug and most supermarkets aswell!
What is your favourite lip combonation for the autumn season?

October Wishlist...

I know everyone says it but i cant believe were already in october! it will be 2013 before we know it! The uk has defiantely entered the autumn season and everyone is preparing themselves for the long cold months ahead. This month while searching the internet ive had my eye on some items that will come in handy over the next few months so i thought i would share them with you!
Firstly i have fallen in love with this faux leather skirt from red herring (can be found in debenams) and it could be a potential must have in my autumn wardrobe, i think this skirt would look so cute with a pure white blouse, some tights and some gold jewellery, perfect for autumn! and at £18 you cant go wrong?
Red herring leather skate skirt- £18
Next up is the real techniques eyeshadow brushes, i purchased the Real technques face brushes a few months ago and i honestly havent put them down! theyre amazing quality, theyre an absolute bargain compared to mac and sigma brushes and they leave my makeup looking flawless. So after seeing the eyshadow brushes, i cant help but putting them on my shopping list! im excited to create some autumn eyeshadow looks using these little beauties.
Real techniques eyeshadow brush set- £22
Lastly is a big wooly warm snood scarf from topshop, ive been looking for a good khaki snood for some time now and ive recently come across this one, snood scarves look amazing paired with a leather jacket and a pair of skinny jeans and i cant get enough of them. however being a bargain hunter, im not sure whether i can justify £16 for a scarf?
Topshop snood- £16

What do you think, are these products worth the money? and what are your must have items for october?

Save or Splurge? : Rose gold watches

River island - £25

Michael kors - £295

Im sure by now you have noticed the popular appearance of rose gold onto the jewellery scene, who hasnt? Rose gold gives a luxury finish to an outfit and is defiantely more wearable than gold, which can sometimes look tacky.
Michael kors took advantage of this and created the most stunning rose gold watches i have ever seen, but are they worth the £300?
Unfortunately i , myself do not own one of these watches as i can not justify that amount of money on jewellery, however its come to my attention that river island have launched a good dupe.
Obviously the river island one isnt as luxurious as the michael kors, but at a fraction of the price im not complaining.

What do you think? is michael kors worth the splurge, what do you think about the river island dupe?

September Nail Favourites

Ive said it before and ill say it again... im a nail geek!
i just love anything and everything to do with nails, so this month i thought id share with you 3 nail products ive been loving.

Firstly is an essie nail polish called 'thigh high' its the perfect burgundy red for the upcoming autumn/winter months. it looks great with pale skin and gives a vintage feel to an outfit.
The formulae is also great, as it is with any essie polish, and you only need to apply one coat! i honeslty cant think of anything negative to say about this product! at £8 its defiantely a bargain

Another nail polish ive been loving is 'beetlejuice' by models own. im not normally a big fan of pastel nail polishes, especially now were moving into autumn, but i had to get this one! its a pretty iridecent blue/pink/purple colour and it looks gorgeous when accesorised with lots of bracelets! if i had to say one thing about this product it would be about the packaging, i think the brush is too short but im just being fussy now :) at £5 its a steal.

Lastly a nail product ive been loving is the 'bourjois 1 second nail polish remover' this product is ingenius. becuase im a very lazy person i can never be mythered to take my nail polish off and this is an answer to my prayers! it takes about 5 seconds not 1 but its still brilliant! it also smells of berries and vanilla... yum. this product is defiantely worth the hype and i seriously recommend it! at £5, why not?

All these products can purchased at boots, whats your favourite nail product this month?

Trend of the week- statement necklaces

My trend of this week is the statement necklace, as we are getting into the colder months, jewellery is making a stand, due to the heat we reject this key part to our outfits in summer and this brilliant trend has reminded us what a necklace can achieve!

Statement necklaces have been coming in all different shape, sizes and colours but my favourite has to be the gold cuff necklace, it gives an egyptian edge to a boring outfit and goes with almost anything, , theres no excuse for lazy people with this trend as the gold cuff necklace takes seconds to throw on as your walking out the door, personally i havent taken mine off over the last few weeks, as it makes me feel like a million dollars.

So where can you buy this little beauty? i bought mine from h&m, they range from £4-£8 which is amazing, you can also find them in topshop if your willing to pay a bit more, theyre are some really unique designs ranging from £10-£25.

Are you loving the statement necklace trend? what necklace can you not stop wearing this month?

Lush products i regret buying

As promised, this is my 'lush products i regret buying' post. Dont get me wrong i am a super massive fan of lush and ive definately bought more good products than bad over the years, but these are just a few the products that really dissapointed me.

Firstly the Dragons egg, i'd heard great things about this product so i decided to jump on the bandwagon and get it, at £4 it certainly isnt cheap but i was certain i was going to love it.
How wrong could i be? The dragons egg was supposed to be a fairytale themed bath bomb that let off colours and glitter and left your skin feeling soft and refreshed But yet it seemed too fizzle out to nothing leaving the water an ugly yellow colour and left behind blobs of goo, lovely. it also seemed to do absolutely nothing for my skin.

dragons egg bath ballistic
Another product that had been hyped up was the melting marshamallow bath melt, im a massive fan of lushs bath melts such as 'youve been mangoed' so i was really excited to try this, its scent was also gorgeous, like candyfloss and sweets, but when i put it in the water the scent dissapeared and it left well.. nothing? i dont have much to say about this product because it didnt even know i had it in my bath.

melting marshmallow bath melt
lastly i really dislike all lush makeup in general, everything is really unpigmented, really expensive and the packaging is just plain daft, the eyeliner brush is about 3cm long which makes it impossible to apply and wastes alot of  product at the bottom of the bottle that you cant reach, same problem with the lipglosses.
The eyshadows were also really unpigmented and stayed on your eyes for about 5 minutes, not good. In my opinion lush should defiantely stick to bath and body products.

Lush makeup
Have you tried any of these products and loved them or do you agree with me? have you bought any lush products you regret buying?

Best of Lush

Who doesnt love lush? quirky cute organic, it smells great and it all at a reasonable price. However some products are better than others, therefore i thought id share my lush favourites with you.
My all time favourite bubble bar has to be 'The Comforter', its scented with blackurants and makes your bath a beautiful bubbly pink colour, its priced around £4 but you get 4-5 uses so its totally worth every penny!
The comforter bubble bar

My favourite Soap has to be 'The Godmother', this is a seriously underrated product at lush and it deserves alot more credit, it smells fruity and is perfect for winter. Simply the best soap ive ever used and i cant live without it.
the Godmother soap
Recently Ive also tried the 'i love juicy' shampoo, as i heard it was good for oily hair (which i definately have) this shampoo is amazing! it controls oil without completey drying it out and it also smells gorgeous.

'i love juicy' oily hair shampoo

However the one product ive constantly repurchased from lush is the bubblegum lip scrub, its a bargain at £5 and keeps your lips soft and mosturised all day, its also tastes of bubblegum, which cant be a bad thing.

Keep a look out for my worst lush product post, coming soon.

Trend of the week- Studs

Studs have been a big hit in 2012 and alot of brands have been putting there own stamp on it. Girls all over the country have been adding a bit of grunge to their wardrobe and i think studs are the perfect way to do achieve the girly grunge look.
Ive said it before but  fashion never fails to suprise me, if someone told me last year id be pairing a pretty pink dress with a biker jacket and studded litas i wouldnt of believed it.

I have to say ive been most impressed with New look this season, im not usually a big fan of this high street store, but ive found myself getting very excited by their studded autumn range and i defianately recommend you taking a look, the pieces are unique and the prices are unbelievably cheap without the clothing looking cheap. My favourite found studded piece was this studded shirt, its very classic and unique and i never would of guessed it was from new look.

Tokyo doll Studded shirt £25
Ive also fallen in love the jc studded lita's, ive always been a fan of jeffrey campbell and i especially love his leather litas, but these shoes are stunning, theyre also extremely comfy and suprisingly easy to walk in, its just a shame about the price tag *sigh*

Jeffrey campbell Lita £150
Topshop have also done themselves proud with the studded trend and have managed to produce this stunning studded bodycon, i love bdycon dresses and this one could be easily dressed up or down and would look greaat with almost anything, therefore i think the price tag can be justified.

Topshop Studded Bodycon £48
If you havent guessed im a big fan of this trend and the three items above will defiantely be on my wish list!

Are you a fan of this trend, How are you styling studs?

Easy cute and quirky nail designs

Aswell as being beauty and fashion obssessed, im also a lover of nail art, however i havent got the patience to spend hours on my nails just so it can chip off the next day. therefore i have found ways to create these cute and quirky designs that are easy, cheap and quick!

Tip one: use Barry M nail paint!, as you can see from the photos, im a big fan of Barry M, its cheap at only £2.99 a polish and very easy to apply.

Tip two: have a look on ebay! nail detailer pens are a must for these designs and theyre cheap (i paid £20 for 80) the brush is easy to use and creates perfect lines for a stripy pattern or french manicure. Also have a look for rhinestones, theyre a fun way to jazz up your nails and are also really inexpensive.

Tip three: DIY? have a look around your house! bobby pins create perfect polka dots, sponges can be used to tye dye and toothpicks are great for creating straight lines.

Tip four: Practise! nails are another way to express yourself! and practise makes perfect?
